About this tool

Convert XML locally using the Filemode-compatible structural mapping: attributes use @attributes, text uses #text, and repeated same-name children become arrays. This is not a lossless XML serialization.

Common uses

Comments and processing instructions are omitted; CDATA content survives as text, not as CDATA
XML declarations and empty-element syntax normalize during a reverse conversion
Mixed-content order and arbitrary alternating child-name order may not round-trip
